Swansea Man Jailed for Violent Attack on Female Stranger

A 37-year-old man from Swansea has been jailed following a violent and unprovoked assault on a female stranger. 👮‍♂️

Grantham Jones, from Bonymaen, delivered a series of punches and blows to the victim’s face during the incident in Bonymaen. The assault only ended when the victim managed to escape and run away.

The court heard that associates of Jones later attempted to intimidate the witness into withdrawing her statement to police.

Jones has been sentenced to twelve months in prison for the attack.

Detective Sergeant Mark Kayes said: “Grantham Jones clearly took pleasure in enacting violence against a defenceless victim. His actions proved that he was clearly a danger to others, and it is only right that he is now starting a term in prison.”
