A man already serving time for serious offences has received an additional prison term after assaulting a staff member at the Wisemans Bridge Inn, near Saundersfoot.

Nathan Turner, currently serving a 15-year sentence, headbutted bar worker Christopher Cole during an incident on 15 April 2023. The assault occurred after Turner became aggressive and verbally abusive towards pub staff.

“The incident has affected me more than I expected. I was scared to walk home alone after a late shift, and even during daylight, I find myself looking over my shoulder, worrying. I’m also nervous when I see tall men wearing caps walk into the pub, in case it’s the same one again. I hate feeling like this,” Mr Cole told the court in his victim impact statement.

Turner appeared via video link at Haverfordwest magistrates and pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm. He received a 24-week sentence to run alongside his current prison term, plus £239 in court charges. ⚖️
