A Newport man with a history of drug dealing is facing more than four years behind bars after admitting to flooding the city’s streets with class A drugs.

Louis Gale, 27, pleaded guilty at Newport Crown Court to supplying heroin, crack cocaine, and cannabis across an 11-month period. The Caerleon Road resident’s illegal operation ran from New Year’s Day 2025 until 11 December last year, dealing three different types of drugs throughout the city.

Judge Matthew Porter-Bryant handed down a 54-month prison sentence to Gale, who already had previous convictions on his record for supplying both class A and class B substances. The lengthy jail term reflects both the serious nature of his offending and his established pattern of drug dealing activity.
