A Birmingham man has been sentenced to life imprisonment after pleading guilty to 13 rape offences against two children and an adult in Cardiff.

Anthony Nash, 47, was arrested at his Birmingham home two days after the victims bravely reported the offences to South Wales Police. Despite initially denying the allegations during interview, he later pleaded guilty to all charges.

On Wednesday, October 15, Nash was sentenced at Cardiff Crown Court to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 15 years before he can be considered for release. The court heard that Nash had carried out a campaign of abuse and was considered a dangerous offender.

Detective Constable Harriet Jones from South Wales Police said: “These are horrific offences against the most vulnerable victims.

“I want to commend the victims for their incredible bravery and the courage they showed in coming forward, sharing what had happened, and supporting the investigation.

“I hope that the outcome at court brings them some comfort that the offender has been brought to some justice and that their bravery has helped protect the wider public from harm.”
