A 51-year-old hospital theatre assistant has admitted planning horrific sex attacks on children along with her partner. 📱

Tracy Turner, who worked at Cardiff’s University Hospital of Wales, pleaded guilty to making indecent images of children and six counts of arranging to rape a child.

Turner and her partner Stuart Compton, 45, appeared at Cardiff Crown Court on Tuesday where they both admitted arranging the commission of child sex offences. The charges include arranging the sexual assault and rape of primary school-aged children.

The court heard that previous charges related to an alleged kidnap and murder of a girl under 13 would no longer be pursued.

Turner, who cried in the dock during proceedings, was employed in the operating theatre at the 800-bed University of Wales Hospital until her suspension.

Judge Tracey Lloyd Clarke, Recorder of Cardiff, told the pair: “I know you have both been told an immediate and substantial sentence is inevitable in this case.”

Sentencing has been adjourned until July 28.

A spokeswoman for Cardiff and Vale University Health Board said: “The health board suspended the individual once we were made aware of the allegations against them. This is a sensitive issue and the health board has been cooperating with partners in South Wales Police. We are not able to comment further while court proceedings are ongoing.”
