Two men caught dealing class A drugs in the Llandudno area have been sentenced to more than seven years behind bars 🚔
Liam Coleman, 25, of Lon Cymru, Llandudno, and Daniel Thompson, 27, of no fixed abode, appeared at Caernarfon Crown Court on Monday 9th June after admitting being concerned in the supply of cannabis and cocaine.
Thompson was initially arrested in Colwyn Bay in March 2022 over unrelated matters when officers discovered he possessed cannabis and cocaine, along with two phones containing drug dealing messages between 2019 and 2022.
Despite ongoing investigations, the pair continued their criminal activity and began dealing cocaine in 2024. In April 2025, officers attended a Llandudno address where Coleman jumped out of a window and fled. A search revealed further class A and B drugs, and Coleman was arrested the following day.
Coleman received four years and three months in prison, whilst Thompson was sentenced to three years and 10 months 📱
District Inspector Mathew Kelly-Smith said: “We have no tolerance for those who seek to cause harm to vulnerable people who reside in our communities. Coleman and Thompson continued their dealing even whilst they were under investigation by police, causing further misery to those they were exploiting. I would urge residents to report any concerns they have about drugs in their area, we will take action on reports received and work tirelessly to take class A drugs off the streets of North Wales.”
Anyone with concerns about drugs can contact police via their website, by calling 101, or anonymously via Crimestoppers.
