Drug dealers jailed after Taff Mead Embankment arrest

Officers witnessed a suspected drug deal taking place on the Taff Mead Embankment in Grangetown and arrested two suspects at the scene 🚨

Ashlee Burford, 29, from Splott and Raekwon Alexander, 27, from Rumney, both pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine following their arrest in August.

At Cardiff Crown Court on Friday, October 17: 🏛️ Burford was sentenced to 43 months 🏛️ Alexander was sentenced to 40 months

Inspector Ross Crutcher, Cardiff Bay Neighbourhood Team said: “We have a zero-tolerance approach to drug dealing and this is just one example of the work we are doing.

“We will continue to work tirelessly with our partners and the public to disrupt the supply of drugs and keep our neighbourhoods safe for everyone.

“We can, and regularly do, act upon the information provided to us by the public, so please keep it coming and continue to work with us.”
