A man who was caught dealing heroin in broad daylight in Tredegar town centre has been sentenced to two-and-a-half years’ imprisonment. 👮♂️
Christopher Williams, 45, was arrested by neighbourhood officers after they spotted him acting suspiciously on a bench near Commercial Street at around 3.35pm on Wednesday 28 May.
Officers detained Williams and recovered 38g of heroin, including wraps of the class A drug from a plastic bag nearby.
PC Ifan O’Sullivan, the officer in the case, said: “Williams’ offending was brazen. We saw Williams acting suspiciously – he was dealing heroin in the centre of Tredegar in the middle of the day. This week is Neighbourhood Policing Week and our neighbourhood teams play such an important role in keeping our communities safe from harm.”
