A man has been sent to prison after he was caught dealing drugs on a street in Butetown, Cardiff.
Khalid Ibrahim, 24, from Riverside, was spotted by a PCSO acting suspiciously in Christina Street on January 2, 2026. The PCSO quickly alerted local officers, who arrived on the scene within minutes.
Ibrahim attempted to resist arrest but was detained and searched. Officers discovered he was carrying heroin and cocaine.
On February 14, Ibrahim appeared at Cardiff Crown Court where he was sentenced to five years and 219 days in prison.

Neighbourhood Policing Inspector Gareth Handy said: “Both PCSOs and police officers are patrolling the area every day. Thanks to a bit of teamwork, this drug dealer was caught and is now in prison.
“Illegal drugs cause significant harm and working closely with the community, we remain committed to targeting those involved. Anyone with information about drug dealing should report it to us as this case shows we will respond and take action.”
