Two men have been jailed for their involvement in cocaine supply in Llanelli after one was caught driving whilst disqualified.

Ian Morris, 48, from Lilleshall Street in Newport, and Ethan Mochan, 28, of Llwyn Yr Eos in Llanelli, appeared at Swansea Crown Court accused of dealing cocaine between November 17 last year and August 8.

The court heard that Morris had been driving a Volkswagen Golf on Gelli Road in Llanelli when police checks revealed he was disqualified from driving and had no insurance. Officers also found a quantity of cocaine during the stop.

Both defendants pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine. Mochan also admitted possession with intent to supply cocaine.

Morris pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance. He denied possession with intent to supply cocaine, as well as the lesser alternative charge of cocaine possession – pleas which were accepted by the Crown Prosecution Service.

Mochan was jailed for three years and four months. Morris was sentenced to two-and-a-half years imprisonment and was banned from driving for 21 months.
