A cocaine dealer who sent price lists to customers and boasted about selling the “best in town” has been jailed for three years. 💊⚖️

Andrew Rees, 25, from Dillwyn Street, Llanelli, was caught with 136g of cocaine with 79% purity when police executed a search warrant at his home on July 31st this year.

Swansea Crown Court heard how Rees sent bulk text messages to multiple recipients with price lists ranging from £80 for one gram up to £950 for an ounce of cocaine. Officers also found £310 in cash, weighing scales, phones, empty plastic bags, and 16g of cannabis during the search.

When police suspected he had disposed of items via the back door, a search of the garden uncovered a bag containing the cocaine that appeared to have been thrown, with some contents spilling on the ground.

Phone evidence revealed Rees’s “significant involvement” in supplying drugs through texts, Snapchat conversations, and voice messages where he advertised his cocaine as the “best in town”.

Rees, who has previous convictions including possession of cannabis with intent to supply, affray, arson, and possession of an offensive weapon, pleaded guilty to multiple drug supply charges and possession of criminal property.

His barrister David Singh told the court: “The defendant’s family wanted him to hear that if he continues on the route he is currently on, there is a danger some of the best years of his life will be spent in prison.”

Judge Geraint Walters said peddling Class A drugs was “an epidemic in most of our cities and towns” and told Rees that his loved ones were also victims of his behaviour.

“Everyone who engages in supply Class A drugs knows the consequences if caught, and a custodial sentence was inevitable,” Judge Walters said.

With one-third discount for his guilty pleas, Rees will serve up to half his three-year sentence in custody before being released on licence.
