Cardiff drug dealer Ibrahim Mustafa has been jailed after being caught in the act by police patrolling Grangetown in an unmarked car. 👮♂️
Officers witnessed a suspected drug deal taking place in a black Seat Altea on Paget Street. When they approached the vehicle, they observed Mustafa, 32, attempting to conceal something down his trousers.
Police seized latex gloves, cash, and mobile phones containing text messages related to drug purchases. An X-ray at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, later confirmed the presence of a foreign object, suspected to be drugs, in Mustafa’s body.
The Butetown resident was arrested on 5 October 2024 and charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine. After pleading guilty, he was sentenced to two years and 10 months in prison at Cardiff Crown Court on 20 March 2025.
“South Wales Police has a zero-tolerance approach to drug dealing and this is just one example of the work we are doing,” said a police spokesperson. “We will not tolerate drugs in our communities, and we are constantly targeting those are thought to be involved in the supply of controlled drugs. We can, and regularly do, act upon the information provided to us by the public, so please keep it coming and continue to work with us.” 🚔
