A Cardiff drug dealer was jailed this week after officers caught him with a mouth full of class A drugs during a police raid at his home.
Kaine James of Trecinon Road, Rumney, Cardiff was arrested on November 26 (2024) when officers from the Cardiff and Vale Organised Crime Team executed a warrant at his residence.
Body-worn video captured the moment James attempted to hide crack cocaine and heroin in his mouth as officers forced entry. Police acted swiftly to prevent him from accidentally swallowing the dangerous combination of drugs. 🚔
During a search of the property, officers discovered £2,000 in a bedroom alongside a mobile phone being used to operate two drug lines. Analysis of the device revealed James had sent a staggering 1,762 messages offering class A drugs in just a two-week period.
James pleaded guilty to possessing crack cocaine and heroin with intent to supply, being concerned in the supply of the same substances, and acquiring criminal property.
He was sentenced to two years imprisonment at Cardiff Crown Court on Wednesday, March 12. The £2,000 has been seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
