A 32-year-old Caerphilly man is facing jail after being convicted of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of an underage girl. 🧑⚖️
Ryan Dymond, of Farm Road, was found guilty by a jury following a trial at Cardiff Crown Court. The offence occurred in Cardiff in May 2021, according to prosecutor Alexander Greenwood.
Dymond had denied any wrongdoing throughout the proceedings.
Following the guilty verdict, defence barrister Bethan Evans requested an adjournment for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
Recorder Andrew Hammond granted the request and scheduled sentencing for June 6. He advised Dymond to cooperate with the probation service in the meantime.
Mr Greenwood informed the court that the defendant will need to register as a sex offender following his conviction, with the length of registration to be determined at sentencing.
The defendant was granted conditional bail until his next court appearance. ⚖️
