A 20-year-old shoplifter from Caerphilly has been banned from entering numerous supermarkets and petrol stations after receiving a two-year criminal behaviour order (CBO) to curb his “prolific offending” 🛒⛔
Cameron Wooley was recently arrested by Gwent Police for breaching his licence conditions after being released from prison in March. As a result, he has been sentenced to 14 weeks imprisonment.
In addition to this prison sentence, Gwent’s crime and disorder reduction officer (CADRO) successfully applied for a Criminal Behaviour Order to prevent his continued shoplifting offences upon his future release.
The order, which remains in place until 1 May 2027, prohibits Wooley from entering any Tesco, Asda, Aldi or Texaco service station across Gwent.
PC Stuart Lewis, CADRO based in Bedwas, said: “Wooley’s prolific offending has had a detrimental effect on the local community and local businesses. We’re committed to making Caerphilly a safe and pleasant place for all and enforcing this order is a part of that. Applying for a CBO is always a last resort. Before then, we work with partners to try and engage and support individuals such as Wooley. We hope the CBO will now act as a deterrent and encourage him to accept the support available.”
Anyone who sees Cameron Wooley breaching this order should call 101, quoting reference 2500113726. You can also direct message Gwent Police on Facebook or X, or make a report via their website.
