A Pontypool woman has been disqualified from keeping cats for five years after pleading guilty to an animal welfare offence involving seven felines in her care.
Danielle Crystin Jenkins, 34, of Lynton Court, Abersychan, Pontypool, appeared before Newport Magistrates’ Court where she admitted failing to meet the animals’ needs for a suitable environment.
The offence took place on February 26 last year.
Sentencing
Jenkins was handed a 12-month community order requiring her to complete 80 hours of unpaid work along with a five-day rehabilitation activity requirement.
She was also ordered to pay £514 in costs and a surcharge.
