A 28-year-old man from Abersoch has been sentenced to 30 weeks in prison following a string of thefts from shops and an assault across two Gwynedd towns.

Police response

North Wales Police confirmed their Neighbourhood Policing Team will continue working alongside community partners to address any ongoing issues linked to Wellings and his associates, using the full powers available under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.

District Inspector Iwan Jones said: “We will relentlessly pursue those who believe they have the right to steal and cause harm to members of our communities.

“We value the support of the retail community, and offenders should know that any attempt to steal from retailers in Gwynedd South will be dealt with robustly, and you will be pursued and brought before the Courts.”
