Abergavenny Man Sentenced for Child Abuse Images

A man from Abergavenny has received a suspended prison sentence after being found in possession of indecent images of children. 📱⚖️

Louis Stubbs-Wright, 24, of Coed Y Brenin, Llantilio Pertholey, near Abergavenny was sentenced at Newport Magistrates’ Court after pleading guilty to four charges.

The court heard that Stubbs-Wright admitted making two category A indecent images of a child (the most serious category), 30 category B images, and 257 category C images. He also pleaded guilty to possession of 205 prohibited images of a child.

The offences took place over a five-year period between July 15, 2018 and August 10, 2023.

Stubbs-Wright received a 12-week prison sentence, suspended for two years. As part of his sentence, he must:

  • Complete a 24-month mental health treatment programme
  • Undertake a 10-day rehabilitation activity requirement
  • Perform 40 hours of unpaid work
  • Attend a 26-day accredited programme

The defendant will be placed on the sex offender register for seven years and was made subject to a sexual harm prevention order for the same duration.

He was also ordered to pay a £154 surcharge and £85 in court costs.
