A Tonypandy woman convicted of cocaine supply and money laundering has been hit with an order to repay more than £110,000 of her ill-gotten gains.
Jacqueline Davies, 61, from Trealaw, was jailed for two years in July 2024 after being found guilty of being concerned in the supply of cocaine and being concerned in an arrangement to facilitate acquisition or control of criminal property.
Davies and her co-defendant Byron Davies, from Caerphilly, played key roles in laundering substantial amounts of criminal cash for their sons.
At a Proceeds of Crime Act hearing this week, South Wales Police financial investigators revealed that Jacqueline Davies had benefitted from her crimes to the tune of £199,000. A confiscation order was made for the full amount. With available assets totalling £112,490.43, she has been ordered to pay back that sum.
Byron Davies, who received a one year and seven month suspended sentence in July 2024 for being concerned in an arrangement to facilitate acquisition or control of criminal property, was found to have benefitted £26,250.13 from his criminal actions. A confiscation order was made for that amount, with Davies ordered to repay £6,000 in available assets.
