Swansea Woman Jailed for Boxing Day Boiling Water Attack

A 21-year-old woman from Penlan, Swansea has been jailed after throwing boiling water towards another woman’s face during an incident on Boxing Day last year. 😡

Jessica Thorne has been sentenced to ten months and two weeks in prison for the attack, which left the victim with a large red burn on the side of their face. Medical professionals have indicated the injury could take up to two years to heal and may leave permanent scarring.

Detective Sergeant Samuel Stanway said: “Jessica Thorne has proven herself to be an incredibly dangerous woman, having made the decision to enact an attack on the victim which could have left them scarred for life.

“This attack was purely motivated by jealousy for the victim.

“We hope that the victim makes a swift recovery and is comforted that Jessica Thorne is going to prison.”
