A 44-year-old Swansea man has been sentenced to prison for multiple child sex offences. Christopher Norris from Clydach was found guilty of sexual assault, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and sexual communication with a child.

The court handed down a thirty-month prison sentence and imposed an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order. Norris will remain on the sexual offenders register for life and faces a five-year restraining order protecting the victim.

Detective Constable Joanne Williams said: “Christopher Norris is a highly dangerous individual who preyed upon his child victim with absolutely no regard for their wellbeing.

“I commend the bravery of the victim in reporting Christopher Norris’s actions, which was instrumental in helping bring him to justice.

“I hope this sentence brings some comfort to the victim and their family, all of whom have been through a harrowing ordeal.” 🚔
