Swansea Man Jailed After Street Attack Witnessed by Neighbours

A 34-year-old man from Clase, Swansea has been sentenced to 14 months in prison for domestic violence offences. 🚔

Christian Read was witnessed attacking his victim in the street by neighbours on the evening of February 24, causing bruising to the victim’s face and arms.

When police arrived, Read was found hiding in the attic of the property, concealed under a blanket and bags. He continued to behave violently during his arrest.

Sergeant Victoria Bayly said: “Christian Read is a violent man who left his victim afraid of what he would do next. For him to brazenly enact this violence out on the street speaks volumes for what he could do behind closed doors. He is now rightly starting a prison sentence, and his victim can begin their process of recovery.”
