A 52-year-old Shropshire man has been sentenced to seven and a half years in prison after being found guilty of serious sexual offences in Townhill, Swansea.
Sean Murphy was convicted of rape, sexual assault by penetration and assault by beating for crimes committed in May. In addition to his prison sentence, Murphy has been placed under a ten-year restraining order and will remain on the sex offenders register for life.
Detective Inspector Sharon Gill-Lewis said: “Sean Murphy’s offending was despicable, and he has rightly been sentenced to a lengthy jail term. I would like to pay tribute to the bravery of the victim in coming forward, without whom a very dangerous man would still be on the streets.” ⚖️
