A 33-year-old man from Pontypridd has been sent to prison after admitting his role in supplying cocaine and cannabis in the town.
Jamie Lewis was sentenced to four years and one month at Cardiff Crown Court on Wednesday, February 25, after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine, possession of cocaine, being concerned in the supply of cannabis and acquiring criminal property.
Alanis Davies, 28, also from Pontypridd, was handed a two-year prison sentence suspended for two years.
How the investigation unfolded
South Wales Police began looking into a drugs line operating in Pontypridd in December 2025. During their enquiries, officers identified a phone number connected to Lewis.
When officers went to arrest him, they found Lewis and Davies together in a car. Both were detained at the scene.
What officers found
A search of Lewis’s phone revealed clear links to the supply of cocaine. Officers also searched a property where they discovered a bag containing a white rock substance along with a large quantity of grip seal bags and scales. Two Rolex watches were also seized during the search.
PC Justyn Lewis said: “Our officers are always patrolling in communities across the county and on the lookout for drug dealers. Jamie Lewis is now spending a considerable time behind bars where he belongs.”
