A Newport man who relentlessly pursued a woman through unwanted contact has been locked up for four months.

Nicholas Davis subjected his victim to a campaign of harassment in Cardiff, bombarding her with texts and letters, making persistent phone calls, and appearing unannounced at locations where she was present.

The 45-year-old, of Christchurch Road, admitted stalking his victim over a month-long period between October 10 and November 9 last year.

Davis also pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal damage at a hair salon in Penarth, which occurred on October 28, 2025, and November 8, 2025.

Judge Paul Hobson sentenced him to four months imprisonment at Cardiff Crown Court and imposed a five-year restraining order prohibiting any contact with his victim.

The court heard Davis has a concerning criminal history. In April 2024, he received a 32-month prison sentence for being concerned in the supply of cocaine and possession with intent to supply the class A drug.

Those drug dealing offences were committed whilst he was already serving a community order for battery, demonstrating a pattern of reoffending.
