A Monmouth man who sent pornographic images to a child will be sentenced next month after admitting his guilt in court.

Jordan Bontej, 27, from Wyesham Avenue in Wyesham, appeared at Cardiff Crown Court where he pleaded guilty to engaging in sexual communication with a child. The 27-year-old’s offending behaviour took place during the summer of 2024.

Judge Vanessa Francis adjourned sentencing until February 17 and granted Bontej conditional bail in the meantime. The court heard that he will be required to register as a sex offender.

Emma Harris appeared as defence counsel for Bontej, whilst the prosecution case was presented by Harry Baker.
