A Merthyr man has been sentenced to three years and eight months in prison after officers discovered crack cocaine and cocaine worth approximately £36,000 at his home. 🚔
Dylan Davies, 24, was arrested on Thursday, June 26, 2025, when officers from the Merthyr Neighbourhood Policing Team executed a warrant at a property on Swansea Road, Merthyr.
During the search, officers uncovered drugs, mobile phones, and scales typical of drug distribution. A thorough examination of the house and rear garden led to the discovery of controlled substances hidden in a black waste bin, on the living room mantelpiece, and cash totalling £300 on a rear windowsill.
In total, officers recovered 58 grams of crack cocaine – valued at approximately £16,000 – and 185 grams of cocaine – worth around £20,000.
On Friday at Merthyr Crown Court, Davies was sentenced to 44 months for possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A – crack cocaine and cocaine.
South Wales Police stated: “This operation underscores our ongoing efforts to combat drug-related crime in the community.”
