A Carmarthenshire man has been sentenced to 12 years in prison after being convicted of serious sexual offences against two victims.
Geoffrey Jones, 37, from Llanelli, has been jailed following convictions for four counts of rape against one victim, which occurred between 2017 and 2019. He was also convicted of one count of attempted rape and digital penetration relating to a separate victim during a night out in Swansea in 2015.
The second victim reinstated their case while Jones was already under investigation for the first set of allegations.
Detective Constable Penny Romanello said: “Geoffrey Jones is an incredibly dangerous sex offender who repeatedly took advantage of victims and never showed any signs of regret or remorse for his actions.
“One of the victims, who was raped on numerous occasions by Geoffrey Jones, is still haunted by his actions and suffers panic attacks and flashbacks.
“We hope that the victims are now able to come to terms with their traumatic ordeals in the knowledge that Geoffrey Jones is embarking upon a significant amount of time in prison.”
