A 37-year-old man from Llandudno Junction has been sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison for multiple drug offences.
John Michael Smith, of Kimberley Road, appeared at Caernarfon Crown Court on Friday, 12 December, where he pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of Class A and Class B substances – specifically cocaine and cannabis.
His charges related to offences committed between August 2024 and June of this year. Smith was arrested at his home on 5 June and subsequently charged by investigating officers.
PC Kimberley Morris, of the Priority Crime Team, said: “Smith’s custodial sentence reflects the seriousness of his offending. Over a 10-month period, he chose to profit from the supply of cocaine and cannabis, contributing directly to the harm and exploitation that drug dealing brings to our communities.
“The supply of illegal drugs fuels violence, anti-social behaviour and wider criminality. It has a devastating impact on individuals, families and neighbourhoods.
“This outcome should serve as a clear warning that those involved in illegally supplying controlled substances will be robustly investigated and brought before the courts.
“The Priority Crime Team continues to operate a zero-tolerance approach to this type of offence. Officers will continue to take decisive action against anyone involved in the supply, distribution or facilitation of drugs – regardless of the type or scale.
“We remain committed to protecting our communities and will continue to proactively disrupt and dismantle those engaged in this criminal activity.”
