A drug dealer who ran an established cocaine and ketamine supply line in Rhymney has been sentenced to three years and eight months in prison 📱⚖️
Kyle Humphries, 27, from Pontlottyn, appeared at Cardiff Crown Court on Wednesday 18 June after pleading guilty to offering to supply cocaine and ketamine.
Messages on a phone linked to Humphries revealed his significant involvement in drug supply operations, including “text bombs” advertising drugs to customers and offering deals and discounts.
PC Rhys Jones, the officer in the case, said: “Evidence from phone number linked to Humphries showed that he played a significant role in the supply of cocaine and ketamine in Rhymney.
“The messages advertising the sale of drugs – known as text bombs – to alert customers when he had drugs available and to offer deals and discounts suggests that he was running an established drug line in the area.
“Illegal drugs ruin lives and will not be tolerated in Gwent. We’re committed to protecting our communities from the devastating impact and often sees the exploitation vulnerable members of society.
