Cwmbran Man Admits Child Sex Assault Charges

A paedophile from Cwmbran is facing jail time after admitting to sexually assaulting a young girl.

Joshua Bennett, 32, of Tewdric Court, Croesyceiliog, pleaded guilty to three serious charges at Newport Crown Court:

  • Assaulting a girl under 13 by penetration
  • Assaulting a girl under 13 by touching
  • Causing/inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity

The defendant admitted all offences just before his trial was due to begin. Judge Daniel Williams remanded Bennett in custody ahead of his sentencing, which is scheduled for 9th September.
