Cardiff dealer jailed for over 5 years for drug offences

A Cardiff drug dealer has been jailed for more than five years after he continued to deal drugs while still under investigation for an earlier offence.

Ahmed Aldobhani, 23, was caught with cocaine worth £1,000 in a Cardiff nightclub in December 2023. He was arrested and released under investigation, but was back on police radar again in July 2025 after he sent bulk messages selling drugs to a phone which had already been seized and was being analysed by officers.

Shortly after, on 25 August, he was spotted by officers from the Cardiff and Vale Organised Crime Team in Canton and was arrested. He was caught in possession of the drug line.

He was charged with possessing cocaine with intent to supply, being concerned in the supply of cocaine and heroin, and being concerned in the supply of cannabis, to which he pleaded guilty.

On Tuesday, 18 November, he was jailed for five years and four months at Cardiff Crown Court.
