Caernarfon Man Jailed for Machete Threats to Neighbours

A Caernarfon man has been sentenced to prison after threatening his neighbours with a machete during a frightening late-night incident 🔪

Gary Pierce Williams, 43, of Cae Bold, was jailed for 10 months at Caernarfon Crown Court after admitting affray. The court heard how Williams stood outside his neighbour’s home in the early hours of December 21st, making threats and attempting to enter their property.

Police officers discovered a machete and another weapon when they searched Williams’ home following his arrest.

Area Inspector Ian Roberts said: “This was a shocking incident for the residents of Cae Bold and had a profound impact on their lives. I’d wish to thank the victims and witnesses for their courage in supporting police in our investigations.”

The court also imposed five restraining orders, banning Williams from entering Cae Bold for five years. Police are working with North Wales Housing to improve conditions and support residents in the area. ⚖️
