Teen Held Knife to Child’s Neck in Cardiff School

A 16-year-old boy has admitted to bringing a knife onto school premises in Cardiff on two separate occasions in 2024, magistrates heard today. 🚨

Video evidence presented at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court youth court showed the teenager holding a knife during an incident that took place in the school toilets. The court was told the boy held the weapon to another child’s neck area, though no physical contact was made.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to possessing a bladed article. Magistrates issued a nine-month referral order for the offences.
