Newport Woman Jailed for Cardiff Shop Thefts Worth £200

A Newport woman has been sentenced to six weeks in prison after stealing groceries and cleaning products from Cardiff stores.

Georgia Hutchings, 33, of no fixed abode, targeted Co-op and One Stop shops between 15th May and 26th June, taking goods worth nearly £200.

The defendant appeared at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court where she was handed the custodial sentence and ordered to pay compensation to the affected retailers.
