A 29-year-old man has been sentenced to 34 weeks in prison after exposing himself to police officers in Newport city centre.
Kallum Jeavons appeared before Newport Magistrates’ Court where he admitted to exposure, racially aggravated harassment, two counts of criminal damage, and resisting arrest. During the incident, which occurred on August 14 last year, Jeavons damaged his cell and tore an officer’s shirt whilst being detained.
The court heard that Jeavons was “under the influence” at the time and already subject to a community order when the offences took place.
Following his release, Jeavons, who has no fixed address in Abergavenny, will be required to register as a sex offender for 10 years. ⚖️
