A convicted drug dealer has been handed an additional six-month sentence after being found guilty of assaulting a pregnant woman.
James O’Connor, 31, formerly of East Parade, Rhyl, was jailed for four-and-a-half years for a series of drug offences last month. Now, in a separate case heard at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court, he has been sentenced for two assaults against a 24-year-old woman who was pregnant at the time.
A Denbighshire Coastal and Abergele Police statement said: “His victim was a 24-year-old female, who was pregnant at the time of the initial assault on 25 July 2025. She was assaulted again by O’Connor on 5 August 2025, with both incidents occurring in Rhyl.”
O’Connor was sentenced to a total of 26 weeks for the offences and has been issued with a five-year restraining order that prohibits contact with his victim.
