🚔 A 62-year-old man has been jailed after stealing “high value goods” from a Toby Carvery restaurant in Caerphilly.

Richard Hicks broke into the establishment on Corbetts Lane on 27th August, causing damage to the cellar doors during the incident. He later pleaded guilty to the break-in at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

The court also heard that Hicks, who has no fixed address, failed to provide a sample for a class A drug test whilst in police detention and failed to surrender to custody.

He has been sentenced to 30 weeks in prison.
