A 23-year-old boxer has been sentenced to three years in prison after viciously attacking a man in a Swansea bar and later assaulting an ex-partner while on bail.

Korben Crocker, from Morriston, left his male victim with a broken jaw requiring reconstructive surgery after delivering what the judge described as a “boxer’s haymaker punch” at Bambu bar in Swansea city centre.

The attack occurred after Crocker felt “slighted” because the victim’s girlfriend had rejected his advances. 👊

The court heard Crocker had asked the woman “multiple times to go home with him” despite her making it clear she was in a relationship.

Following the assault, Crocker reacted to video footage of the incident shared in a Snapchat group by commenting: “That’s f****** class”. When another group member called him a “f****** animal”, he replied: “Ha ha I f****** am”.

While on bail for this offence, Crocker attacked an ex-partner by pushing his head into her face and biting her on the lips, causing injuries that required antibiotics.

In her impact statement, the woman said: “The fear and devastation caused by being assaulted by someone I had loved and who was supposed to love me will never leave me.”

The male victim described how the assault had “impacted pretty much every aspect of my life”, leaving him withdrawn, struggling to sleep and unable to play football as he used to because of weakness in his jaw.

Judge Geraint Walters said Crocker had shown “no remorse, no pity” for either attack.

The defendant, who has Tourette syndrome, was sentenced to three years in prison and made subject to a 10-year restraining order banning him from contacting his ex-partner.
