🚔 A 26-year-old Wrexham man has been sentenced to two years in prison for a series of violent attacks against his former partner.
Cailum Jones, from Gwenfro, appeared at Mold Crown Court today where he admitted inflicting grievous bodily harm and two counts of assault.
The court heard that on November 11th, Jones punched the victim in the face, causing injuries above her lip and damaged teeth. After being released on bail, he breached his conditions and was subsequently charged.
The victim later revealed multiple assaults over a 12-month period, including two incidents where Jones grabbed her by the hair during arguments.
Detective Constable Troy Williams said: “Violent behaviour towards women is inexcusable and will not be tolerated.
“I commend the bravery of the victim, who is sadly still suffering with the physical and emotional effects of the incidents, for reporting what had happened to her and for supporting the investigation during an incredibly difficult time.
“I urge victims of domestic abuse to speak up – you will be listened to, and we will fully investigate all reports to bring offenders to justice.”
Jones was also handed a five-year restraining order to protect the victim. ⚖️
