A teenager from the Caerphilly county borough has been locked up after admitting he made violent threats against his victim.
The threats
Lewis Harvey, 19, of Newport Road, Cwmcarn, made the threats on April 7, which included telling his victim he would set fire to their home and put a “brick over his head”.
The charges
Harvey pleaded guilty at Newport Magistrates’ Court to sending a communication threatening death or serious harm and threatening to destroy property.
Sentencing
The court heard that Harvey was already subject to a suspended custodial sentence at the time of the offending. He was sentenced to 28 weeks in a young offender institution.
