A husband and wife from Rhondda have been sentenced to three months in prison after breaking into the outdoor seating area of a café in Talbot Green and having sex in full view of CCTV cameras.

The café owner contacted South Wales Police on February 23 after discovering footage of the pair at the venue.

Anthony Evans, 42, and Leah Evans, 37, both from Rhondda, appeared at Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates’ Court on Friday, February 27, where they each pleaded guilty to outraging public decency and criminal damage.

Both were sentenced to three months’ imprisonment.

PC Ffion Hiscutt said: “This was unacceptable behaviour deplorable act in a public place which was clearly visible to the public.

“They now have a short stint in prison to think about their actions.”
