Ebbw Vale man sentenced for extreme animal pornography

A man from Ebbw Vale has been sentenced after admitting to possessing extreme pornographic images.

Eric Thomas, 30, pleaded guilty at Newport Magistrates’ Court to having 44 films and pictures on his phone showing sex acts with animals. The offending took place on 22nd October 2023.

Thomas, formerly of Beaufort Rise, Beaufort, and now of Monmouth Drive, Merthyr Tydfil, was sentenced to a 12-month community order.

⚖️ As part of his sentence, Thomas must:

• Carry out 160 hours of unpaid work
• Complete a 26-day rehabilitation activity requirement
• Pay a £114 surcharge
• Pay £85 costs
