Police Van Crashes Into Garden Wall in Tonteg Village

A police van has collided with a garden wall in the village of Tonteg, near Pontypridd, leaving significant damage to a property on Main Street.

The incident occurred on Thursday evening (July 10) at around 6.15pm, with photos showing the police vehicle mounted on the pavement and the wall severely damaged. Bricks were left scattered within the property’s boundary, and the area has been cordoned off for safety reasons.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “South Wales Police can confirm that a police vehicle was in collision with a wall whilst travelling on Main Street, Tonteg at around 6.15pm last night, Thursday 10 July.”

The police van was later removed from the scene, with a significant portion of the garden wall knocked down. The damaged area remains blocked off to pedestrians as a precautionary measure.
