Three cannabis growers have been jailed after a dramatic police raid in Swansea where two suspects attempted to flee by climbing through the roof. 🌿👮‍♂️

Ergys Dautaj, 24, and Dorjan Dautaj, 24, were inside a house on Swansea Road when tactical search teams forced entry on February 13. In a desperate attempt to evade capture, the pair smashed through the property’s roof and jumped to a neighbouring building before surrendering to officers who had surrounded the premises.

A search of the property revealed cannabis plants at various stages of growth throughout the house, which had been dangerously modified to cultivate the drug.

Osman Sallaku, 21, was arrested at a nearby address during the coordinated police operation.

Following their guilty pleas to cannabis production, Ergys Dautaj received a two-year prison sentence while Dorjan Dautaj and Osman Sallaku were each jailed for 12 months at Swansea Crown Court on Monday, April 28.

The arrests were part of Operation Millie, which took place in February 2024 and saw 12 people detained across south Wales. The operation formed the third phase of a national effort to disrupt organised crime groups involving police forces throughout Wales and England.
